140 OIDs in Port Duplex Mode
OIDs here report or configure whether a port's Ethernet link runs half-duplex, one direction at a time, or full-duplex, simultaneous send and receive, including the negotiated/operational duplex distinct from a manually forced setting. Admins check the operational duplex value when a link is slow or drops connections, since a duplex mismatch between two ends of a cable is a classic cause of collisions and poor performance, and manually force a duplex setting when auto-negotiation fails to pick the right one. A "duplex" notification elsewhere in this theme is unrelated to Ethernet ports — it reports a failed failover between redundant optical controllers — so read the object name carefully.
