Installer

  • Security Hardening — The monitoring database now accepts local connections only; the installer adds a Windows Firewall rule that blocks incoming network connections to it. Only Administrators and LOCAL SYSTEM can now access the application data and the registry settings that store passwords. The installer applies these restrictions to both new installations and upgrades.

Monitoring Service

  • WMI Disk Space Monitor — Fixed a problem where the monitor could go Down with “Unknown disk, select one of: …” even when the configured disk was included in the list. The monitor now checks the full list of logical disks on the target, matches disk names regardless of letter case, and correctly reports free or used disk space.

Note: After upgrading, Windows accounts without administrator rights can no longer access logs or other files in the IPNetwork Monitor data folder. Remote connections to the monitoring database are also blocked.

You can install releases published while your Maintenance and Support subscription is active. If the subscription has expired, your existing installation remains fully functional, but you cannot upgrade to a version published after the subscription expiration date until the subscription is renewed.

How do I enable the MCP Server introduced in version 1.1?

Open Settings in the IPNetwork Monitor Client, select the MCP section, and enable the MCP Server. Copy the generated endpoint URL and access token into a compatible AI assistant or IDE client to manage agents, hosts, monitors, credentials, schedules, alerts, and monitoring data.

What should I check before using a Linux Remote Network Agent?

Linux Remote Network Agents support monitoring remote networks from Ubuntu and RHEL-compatible systems, but several Windows-specific monitor types are unavailable. Before assigning monitors to a Linux agent, verify that they do not require WMI, Windows Event Log, Hyper-V, Web Transaction Monitor, ODBC, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle Database monitoring.
