Description: Half-duplex data transmission or Full-duplex data transmission.

What is duplexStatus?

This read-only enumeration reports whether a port is currently operating in fullDuplex(1) or halfDuplex(0) mode. It matters because a port stuck in half-duplex when the attached device expects full duplex is a common cause of the collision counters elsewhere in this MIB climbing. An admin seeing rising txLateCollision on a port would check duplexStatus first to rule out a duplex mismatch as the cause.
