Description: Manages ADC FlexWave Ultra Remote Head (URH) distributed antenna and remote radio unit configuration and status.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ADC-FLEXWAVE-URH-MIB?
ADC-FLEXWAVE-URH-MIB is a distributed antenna system (DAS) vendor MIB from ADC (now part of CommScope) for the FlexWave Prism and InterReach SPECTRUM Ultra Remote Head (URH) product line, remote radio head units used to extend cellular coverage. It exposes fault/alarm and trap data describing module identity and trap events, plus host unit (Hst) hardware objects such as unit reset control and backplane revision. Its principal use is fault and hardware-status monitoring: tracking alarmed module names/types, trap codes and sequence numbers to identify which remote radio module raised an alarm, and host unit hardware attributes to verify hardware health and recover a hung unit via remote reset. No explicit dependency on standard IETF MIBs is indicated in the available definitions, though it likely complements the vendor's broader FlexWave MIB suite. It is deployed in distributed antenna system installations (e.g., stadiums, campuses, buildings) where FlexWave URH remote radio heads relay cellular signal and must be centrally monitored for alarms and hardware faults, and administrators can get an ADC-FLEXWAVE-URH-MIB download to load its trap and hardware objects directly into a MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ADC-FLEXWAVE-URH-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ADC FlexWave Ultra Remote Head (URH) distributed antenna system remote radio unit
Monitoring Examples
An operator watching fwuTrapCode, fwuAlarmedModuleName, and fwuModuleType together with fwuTrapNodeAddress can pinpoint which remote head module raised an alarm and where it sits in the distributed antenna network. fwuTrapSequenceNumber and fwuTrapTimeStamp let them correlate the order and timing of alarms during a fault storm. If a host unit becomes unresponsive, fwuHstUnitReset can be used to remotely reset it, while fwuHstBackPlaneRev confirms hardware revision compatibility during troubleshooting.
What Can Be Monitored
- alarm/trap codes and sequence
- alarmed module identity and type
- trap source node address
- host unit backplane revision
- host unit reset control/status
