What Is ADVA-FSPR7-CAP-MIB?
This MIB module is part of ADVA Optical Networking's entity-management framework for the FSP R7 family of optical transport platforms, focused on capability/feature registration for cross-connections and equipment. It exposes configuration-oriented data describing cross-connect capability entries -- administrative state, row status, redline (protection) state, and equipment management capability groupings for the optical shelf. Monitoring Examples
An operator would check crossConnectionCapTable entries via crossConnectionCapRowStatus and crossConnectionCapAdmin to confirm a given crossConnectionCapConn or crossConnectionCapTunnelAid is provisioned and enabled, and crossConnectionCapRedLineState to see whether protection-switching capability is active. An unexpected crossConnectionCapRowStatus (for example, not active) for a tunnel that should be in service would indicate the cross-connect was never fully provisioned, explaining a missing optical path.
