What Is AtiL2-MIB?

AtiL2-MIB is an Allied Telesyn (Allied Telesis) vendor MIB providing Layer 2 switch management objects, including product identification, port mirroring configuration, IGMP snooping state, and IP addressing for the switch's management interface. It exposes both configuration objects (mirroring source/destination module and port, IGMP state, configured IP address) and basic device identity/version information. Alongside its L2 switching role, this MIB supports monitoring device software/hardware identity via atiL2SwProduct and atiL2SwVersion, and lets an admin confirm the switch's current management IP (atiL2CurrentIpAddress) matches its configured value, as well as check whether port mirroring or IGMP snooping features are active. It has no explicitly stated external MIB dependency in this excerpt beyond general SNMPv2 SMI conventions. It is deployed on Allied Telesyn/Allied Telesis Layer 2 Ethernet switches in enterprise wiring closets and small-to-midsize network deployments. Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll atiL2SwProduct and atiL2SwVersion to inventory switch model and firmware version across a fleet, and check atiL2CurrentIpAddress against atiL2ConfiguredIpAddress to catch DHCP-vs-static IP mismatches after a reboot. Verifying atiL2MirroringSourceModule/atiL2MirroringSourcePort against atiL2MirroringDestinationModule/atiL2MirroringDestinationPort and atiL2MirrorState would confirm a port-mirroring session for traffic capture is correctly configured and enabled. atiL2IGMPState would be checked to confirm IGMP snooping is on when troubleshooting multicast flooding.
