What Is CISCO-CONTACT-CENTER-APPS-MIB?

CISCO-CONTACT-CENTER-APPS-MIB is a Cisco proprietary MIB for the Cisco Contact Center Applications (CCCA) suite, which delivers enterprise contact routing, call treatment, computer-telephony integration and multi-media contact management over IP. It exposes general application info (name, description, version, time zone), a table of application instances in a cluster, and whether SNMP notifications are enabled. Its main monitoring value is software status: confirming the running software version, whether an instance's notification/trap delivery is active, and how many instances make up a distributed, fault-tolerant deployment. cccaInstanceTable/cccaInstanceEntry (keyed by cccaInstanceNumber) enumerates each contact-center application instance in a cluster, and comparing cccaVersion across instances lets an admin verify all servers run a consistent software release. cccaNotificationsEnabled shows whether SNMP traps are active for a given instance, and cccaSupportToolsURL/cccaWebSetupURL provide quick access to that instance's management console when investigating a flagged server.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Example using cccaRouterCallsPerSec OID:

Select a Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise/Express application server as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type cccaRouterCallsPerSec into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, selecting the specific row/instance you want to monitor since this is a table column, then select it and click OK. The router calls per sec object indicates the current inbound call rate; that is, the calculated number of inbound calls per second. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is a Gauge32-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the rate climbs well above its normal baseline (in calls), since a sustained spike often reflects real load growth or a runaway process. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
