Description: This object is used to specify the Duplex mode of this Ethernet port. This is used only if csEthAutoneg is disabled. Note: The default value is removed because it is not fixed in the system after reboot when autonegotiation enabled. It is hardware configuration dependent.
What is csEthDuplex?
This read-write value specifies half or full duplex mode for this Ethernet port, effective only when csEthAutoneg is disabled. A mismatched duplex setting between two connected devices is a common cause of poor performance and collisions, so an admin must set this carefully when manual mode is used. For example, after disabling autonegotiation on a link to a legacy device, an admin sets csEthDuplex to full to match the far end and eliminate the late-collision errors seen in csEthStatsTxLateCollisionCounts.
