What is scCapDuplex?
This OID specifies whether the interface operates in half-duplex (alternating send/receive) or full-duplex (simultaneous send and receive) mode. Network engineers set this to full-duplex on virtually all modern links; half-duplex causes collisions and cuts effective bandwidth in half. For example, full-duplex on a 1 Gbps link allows simultaneous 1 Gbps send and 1 Gbps receive (vs. 500 Mbps each direction in half-duplex).
