An admin can use it together with p2mpDuplexerLoPassbandMinFreq to know the full usable width of the low passband before assigning channels to a radio. For example, before reassigning a subscriber unit to a new channel, the admin checks that the intended frequency stays below this maximum so the signal isn't attenuated by the duplexer.
