What Is AC-SYSTEM-MIB?

AC-SYSTEM-MIB is AudioCodes' core enterprise MIB for system-wide management of its VoIP gateways and media servers, covering device identification, software/firmware version reporting, remote reset control, and general administrative configuration. It exposes objects that identify the running software version and hardware/product type, along with controls to trigger a device reset or apply administrative settings. As a status/health MIB it is central to confirming a device's software version, important for tracking firmware compliance, and its basic administrative identity, complementing the deeper performance data found in AC-PM-SYSTEM-MIB. It is the foundational AudioCodes system MIB that the other AudioCodes MIBs (AC-CONTROL-MIB, the AC-PM-* series) are typically deployed alongside for a complete management picture. It is used across the full range of AudioCodes Mediant gateway and media server products in VoIP deployments. Engineers can download the AC-SYSTEM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls the device-identification and software-version objects to confirm every gateway in a fleet is running the expected firmware release, and uses the reset-control object, when authorized, to remotely reboot a device stuck in a bad state. If a reported software version differs unexpectedly from the fleet baseline after a maintenance window, that flags a failed or partial upgrade needing follow-up.
