All MIBs › ACOS-MIB
Category: Vendor: A10 Networks
Description: Root enterprise MIB for A10 Networks ACOS-based Thunder/AX appliances, defining the base OID tree for all A10 Networks management objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ACOS-MIB?
ACOS-MIB is the root enterprise MIB for A10 Networks' ACOS-based Thunder/AX line of application delivery controllers and load balancers, establishing the base OID tree for all A10 management objects. It exposes system-level hardware inventory and control data: reboot control, hardware and software revision, serial and part numbers, chassis slot count, per-slot memory capacity, DSP count, and a general device table. This gives it a strong hardware/software status-monitoring role, directly surfacing acosSoftwareRevision and acosHardwareRevision for version tracking, acosMemoryCapacityTable for per-slot memory health, and acosSystemReboot for reboot state/control. No dependency on other standard MIBs is evident beyond registering under the shared A10/Atlas enterprise OID branch (atlasComEngines). It is typically deployed on A10 Networks Thunder/AX series ADC and load-balancing appliances in data centers. Engineers can download the ACOS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACOS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- A10 Networks Thunder/AX series application delivery controller
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll acosHardwareRevision and acosSoftwareRevision across a cluster of Thunder appliances to confirm all units are running a consistent, approved firmware version, and use acosMemoryCapacityTable (keyed by acosMemoryTypeIndex) to track acosMemoryCapacity per installed memory module. An unexpected drop in reported acosMemoryCapacity or a mismatched acosSoftwareRevision would flag a hardware fault or an inconsistent software rollout.
What Can Be Monitored
- hardware revision
- software revision
- serial and part number
- per-slot memory capacity
- DSP count
- system reboot state
