This OID stores the maximum high threshold for chromatic dispersion compensation that the equipment supports, measured in picoseconds per nanometer (ps/nm). Chromatic dispersion causes optical signal distortion over long fiber distances, so engineers need to know the compensation limits before deploying the equipment.
