Description: Relevant only when ERRFWD=LSROFF. Enables/disables the possibility to delay turning off and on the laser. This applies to the case when turning off the laser is done as an error forwarding mechanism.
What is changePhysicalPortServiceCapLaserDelayTimer?
This controls whether the port can delay turning the laser on and off when using error forwarding as a protection mechanism. Engineers enable this feature to prevent rapid laser flapping when transient errors occur, which would otherwise briefly interrupt service. A setting of 'enabled' means the port can hold the laser state for a configured period to absorb momentary glitches.
