This OID triggers a reset of all data-layer performance measurement counters (errors, packets, bytes) back to zero. Engineers use this to clear old performance baselines and start fresh tracking after maintenance or when a problem is resolved. Executing a PM reset clears error counters so new performance graphs show only the data from the reset point onward.
