What is scCapMetric?
This OID stores the OSPF routing cost or preference value; higher numbers mean lower priority when OSPF selects paths (typically 1-65535). Network engineers adjust this to steer traffic toward preferred links and away from expensive or backup paths without disabling them. For example, setting the metric to 10 on a primary link and 100 on a backup link makes OSPF prefer primary until it fails.
