What is lanCapAuthType?
This OID specifies which OSPF authentication method is used: none, simple plaintext, or cryptographic MD5-based authentication. Network engineers choose the strongest supported authentication type to secure their routing infrastructure from unauthorized route advertisements. Selecting "MD5" means OSPF messages are cryptographically signed, while "none" leaves routing updates unprotected.
