This OID enables or disables the poisoned reverse loop-prevention technique on a RIP interface, which tells neighboring routers to ignore routes that came back from where they were just learned. Network engineers enable this feature to prevent routing loops that could cause packets to bounce endlessly between routers. A value of 'enabled' means RIP will advertise a metric of infinity (16) for routes learned from a neighbor back to that same neighbor.
