OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2221.1.1.14.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: The domain name returned to the DHCP client.

What is acosDhcpDomainName?

This OID stores the DNS domain name suffix (up to 15 characters) that DHCP clients will append to unqualified hostnames. Engineers configure this so when a client searches for 'printer', the system automatically tries 'printer.company.local'. Example: setting this to 'corp.local' enables short hostname lookups within the company domain.
