Description: The total number of frames discarded on this port because the transmit buffer descriptor ring was empty.
What is acosWANTxMissedFrames?
This counter tracks frames dropped on the WAN port because the transmit buffer descriptor ring was empty when a packet needed sending (integer counter). Network engineers monitor this to detect congestion or software bottlenecks in the device's transmit path that cause outgoing packets to be discarded. A rapid increase to 67 during a file transfer indicates the transmit queue is exhausted and packets are lost before reaching the wire.
