What Is ACC-DN?

ACC-DN is a vendor-specific MIB for managing directory number (DN) assignment and mapping on ACC/Ericsson ISDN-capable access routers, supporting call routing and number-to-interface translation for dial-up and ISDN services. It is primarily a configuration MIB, exposing the mapping between directory numbers and the router's call-handling/interface resources. Its monitoring value is in confirming correct call-routing configuration, since verifying a given directory number maps to the intended interface or dial-in service helps diagnose why inbound calls to a specific number are being misrouted or rejected. It relies on general ISDN/telephony numbering concepts rather than another SNMP MIB directly. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson access routers/gateways used by service providers or enterprises for ISDN dial-up call termination. Engineers can download the ACC-DN file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-DN. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

What Can Be Monitored

  • directory number to interface mapping
  • call routing configuration
  • DN assignment status

Supported Devices

  • ACC/Ericsson ISDN access router/gateway

Monitoring Examples

An admin reviews the DN-to-interface mapping table when calls to a specific directory number are failing to connect, confirming that the number is still correctly assigned to an active dial-in interface rather than having been reassigned or removed during a configuration change.
