Module: ACC-DN
OID (symbolic): ACC-DN::accDnMaxVisit
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.5.1.1.19.9
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description:
Maximum number of node visits allowed for a packet
What is accDnMaxVisit?
This OID limits how many router hops a packet can accumulate in its visit count (1–63) before being discarded to prevent loops. Network engineers set this as a safety mechanism alongside hop limits to catch packets cycling in certain network topologies. For example, a value of 30 means a packet can visit at most 30 routers before it is considered stuck and discarded.
