What Is AXD301-ILMI-MIB?
AXD301-ILMI-MIB manages ILMI (Integrated Local Management Interface) ATM signaling on the Ericsson AXD301 ATM switch, a carrier-grade ATM switching platform. Its data categories combine standard system-identity objects (sysDescr, sysObjectID, sysUpTime, sysContact, sysName, sysLocation, sysServices) with ATM Forum-defined per-port signaling objects (atmfPortTable) describing ATM port transmission types. It supports basic hardware/software status monitoring through the standard system group — sysUpTime for device uptime and sysDescr/sysObjectID for identifying the switch's software/hardware identity — while the ATM Forum objects report the operational transmission characteristics of individual ATM ports. It explicitly depends on the ATM Forum's ILMI/UNI MIB definitions (imported atmForum, atmForumAdmin, atmfTransmissionTypes) as well as the standard SNMPv2 System group (MIB-II). It is deployed in carrier and enterprise ATM backbone networks, where AXD301-ILMI-MIB SNMP monitoring supports the Ericsson AXD301 switch for ATM-based transport.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll sysUpTime to confirm the AXD301 switch has not unexpectedly rebooted, and sysDescr/sysObjectID to verify its software/hardware identity during an inventory audit. atmfPortTable/atmfPortEntry, keyed by atmfPortIndex, reports each ATM port's transmission type from atmfTransmissionTypes; a port reporting an unexpected or non-operational transmission type would reveal a physical-layer or signaling mismatch on that ATM interface.
