Category: Domain: WAN
Description: DSX1 interface MIB for DL devices providing T1/E1 line management, performance monitoring, and alarm objects.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is DL-NEW-DSX1-MIB?
This is a Digital Link (DL) enterprise MIB providing management for DSX1 (T1/E1) digital circuit interfaces on Digital Link WAN access devices. It exposes hardware configuration, operational status, and archived unit-configuration data related to T1/E1 line units. Its monitoring focus is hardware status of the WAN interface card: tracking the unit's hardware configuration, current operational/alarm status, and stored configuration archives, which helps detect line faults, misconfigurations, or hardware failures on the T1/E1 circuit. It likely complements standard IETF DS1/E1 MIBs (such as RFC 1406/2495-style DS1-MIB) that define the underlying line-performance counters this vendor module extends. It is typically deployed in telecom or enterprise WAN environments using Digital Link T1/E1 access equipment for leased-line connectivity. Engineers can download the DL-NEW-DSX1-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in DL-NEW-DSX1-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Digital Link DSX1 (T1/E1) WAN access unit
Monitoring Examples
An administrator can poll dlcUnitStatus to check the current alarm/operational condition of the DSX1 unit, revealing conditions such as loss of signal or frame alignment on the T1/E1 line. dlcUnitHwConfig and dlcUnitConfig can be compared against dlcUnitUserArchive to detect drift between the currently applied configuration and the last saved/archived configuration, a useful check after a line card replacement or firmware update.
What Can Be Monitored
- unit operational/alarm status
- hardware configuration
- current vs. archived configuration

| dlcUnitTestTable | 1.3.6.1.4.1.300.200.5.1 | not-accessible | A table containing all currently active tests. The initial release of the product's firmware does not include multiple tests. However, a later version will allow a number of tests to be active at a time. This MIB object structure allows any number of tests to be running at any time. Upon receiving a SET request, the unit compares this table with the list of currently active tests and terminates or initiates any tests as required. However, this does not apply to Link Based Test. dlcUnitConfigLinkTest group contains objects to configure and start Link Based Test. This table only contains the statistics for Link Based Test. | |
| dlcUnitTestEntry | 1.3.6.1.4.1.300.200.5.1.1 | not-accessible | An entry in the network configuration table. | |
| POR dlcUnitTestPortId | 1.3.6.1.4.1.300.200.5.1.1.1 | PortId | read-only | Identifies a port that a test might be running on. By convention, Self Test and all full-bandwidth tests (loopbacks, patterns, etc.) are assigned to the netPort. For E1 unit, if it is in unstructured mode, only full-bandwidth tests can be performed. |
| TES dlcUnitTestType | 1.3.6.1.4.1.300.200.5.1.1.2 | TestType | read-write | Says what test is running on this port. The terminal User Interface uses the names in the middle column, and the unit's front panel uses the names in the right column. |
