Description: ADIC enterprise MIB for monitoring tape library systems — drive status, environmental sensors, component inventory, and library-class change traps

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ADIC-INTELLIGENT-STORAGE-MIB?

ADIC-INTELLIGENT-STORAGE-MIB is an ADIC (Advanced Digital Information Corporation, tape-library vendor, later Quantum) proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 3764) providing common product/component identification for ADIC storage products. Its objects cover MIB/SNMP-agent version, product name/display name/description/vendor/version/display version, library class, serial number, agent global status/timestamp/get-timeout/modifiers/refresh rate, and a component table (ID, type, display name, info, location, vendor, serial number). As a hardware-inventory/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm exact product/component identification and overall agent health across ADIC storage products. It is deployed on ADIC (Quantum) intelligent storage products. Engineers can download the ADIC-INTELLIGENT-STORAGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ADIC-INTELLIGENT-STORAGE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ADIC (Quantum) intelligent storage products

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks agentGlobalStatus alongside componentTable to get an overview of overall health and identify which specific component is affected on an ADIC storage product.

What Can Be Monitored

  • overall agent status
  • component identification and inventory
