What Is CTELS100-NG-MIB?

CTELS100-NG-MIB is a Cabletron (later Enterasys) enterprise MIB for the ELS100 Next Generation Ethernet switch, a legacy stackable Ethernet switch platform. It exposes vendor-specific configuration objects covering advanced Layer 2 features such as VLAN tagging/membership and QoS traffic prioritization on the switch. Because it is chiefly a configuration/control-plane MIB, it is used mainly to verify that VLAN and QoS settings pushed to the switch have taken effect, functioning as a software/configuration-state check rather than a hardware sensor MIB. It is typically deployed alongside standard IETF MIBs like IF-MIB and BRIDGE-MIB/Q-BRIDGE-MIB, since Cabletron enterprise extensions layer on top of those standards rather than replace them. It would be found in older enterprise wiring-closet or campus deployments still running legacy Cabletron/Enterasys ELS100 switch stacks.
