Description: Enable or disable the operation of the BootP and DHCP protocols on the system. These protocols are used for automatically configuring the system's IP address information if a properly configured BootP and/or DHCP server exists on the network.
What is els100SysBootPDhcpEnable?
This enables or disables the BootP and DHCP protocols the switch uses to automatically obtain its IP address configuration from a network server. Disabling it forces the admin to configure the switch's IP settings manually rather than relying on a BootP/DHCP server. An admin deploying switches into a network without a BootP/DHCP server would need to disable els100SysBootPDhcpEnable and assign static IP settings instead.
