What is els100PortType?
This reports the physical interface type of the port, such as unknown, 10BaseT, 100BaseTx, 100BaseFx multimode, or 100BaseFx single-mode fiber. It tells an admin the underlying media technology of a given port, important when planning cabling or matching transceivers. Before ordering a fiber patch cable, an admin would check els100PortType to confirm whether that port is single-mode or multimode fiber.
