Description: NFS mount definition, admin and operational state, and mount FSM lifecycle for Cisco UCS storage integration

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NFS-MIB?

CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NFS-MIB is a Cisco Systems MIB module exposing the Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) NFS mount management management-information-model package as SNMP objects, part of the larger family of UCS MIBs that mirror the platform's internal CIM/XML data model. Its data covers NFS endpoint and mount-definition objects used when UCS integrates with NFS-backed storage, following the UCS convention of a distinguished-name (Dn) and relative-name (Rn) pair identifying each managed object's place in the UCS management hierarchy. As a hardware/software-status MIB it lets an administrator poll NFS mount management-related state through SNMP rather than only through UCS Manager's native XML API. It is deployed on Cisco UCS Manager-managed blade/rack server domains. Engineers can download the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NFS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NFS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) Manager-managed server domains

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polls this MIB's tables, correlating entries by their Dn/Rn identifiers, to retrieve NFS mount management-related status through SNMP as an alternative to querying UCS Manager's XML API directly.

What Can Be Monitored

  • NFS mount management configuration/status objects (via UCS management-model mapping)

RFC description

SNMP MIB module that exposes NFS (Network File System) management objects for Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) infrastructure. Part of the Cisco UCS MIB framework providing read-only access to UCS Manager data model objects for SNMP-based monitoring.

Start monitoring Cisco UCS Manager-managed blade/rack servers and fabric interconnects with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
