This OID holds a free-text snapshot description of the current or last workflow stage recorded directly on a MountInst object — the live, running instance of an NFS mount that was created from a MountDef and is (or was) actually attached. An admin reads this denormalized copy of the stage description straight off the parent object, without needing to separately query the underlying Fsm/FsmStage class rows, for a quick status check. For example, polling just this one OID on a MountInst object during a change window gives the admin the same plain-language stage detail that would otherwise require a second query against the MountInstFsm table.
