What Is CIENA-CES-MGMT-INTERFACE-MIB?

CIENA-CES-MGMT-INTERFACE-MIB is a Ciena proprietary MIB defining management-interface details and associated notifications on Ciena's Carrier Ethernet Solutions (CES) platform. Its management-interface table, indexed by interface, reports address type/address/prefix length, interface name, administrative and operational state, and management domain. As a configuration-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a device's management interface is correctly addressed and operationally up, which is foundational before any other SNMP polling of that device can succeed. It is deployed on Ciena carrier Ethernet transport platforms. Engineers can download the CIENA-CES-MGMT-INTERFACE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
