Description: The 802.1p priority value for the management traffic on this interface.

What is cienaCesInetMgmtInterfacePktPriority?

This object sets the 802.1p priority value (0-7) stamped on outgoing management traffic -- SNMP responses, SSH sessions, syslog -- leaving this interface. An admin raises this value so that management traffic gets queued ahead of best-effort data traffic on a congested uplink, which matters because losing SNMP polls or SSH access during a traffic storm is exactly when you most need them. For example, setting this to 6 gives management frames near-voice-level queuing priority on switches between this device and the NOC.
