Category: Fibre Channel and Storage
Description: Provides SAN manager proxy objects for ADIC tape library integration with Storage Area Network management platforms.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB?
ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB is an ADIC (Advanced Digital Information Corporation, tape-library vendor, later Quantum) proprietary MIB reporting proxy-agent health for the SANmgr SAN-management service on ADIC intelligent-storage devices. Its objects cover an identify/reboot action, health-check value/level/interval, event-report level, event-log levels, trap thresholds, baud rate, log size, a command trigger, log-boot/current/chronological-first/last entries and scroll control, log filename, environment state, gateway firmware/hardware revision, SNMP firmware revision, RID tag, and serial number. As a hardware/software-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm the proxy agent's health-check status and firmware revisions on an ADIC tape library. It is deployed on ADIC (Quantum) intelligent tape-library storage systems. Engineers can download the ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ADIC (Quantum) intelligent tape-library storage systems
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks paHealthCheckValue and paEnvironmentState to confirm the SANmgr proxy agent reports a healthy environment on an ADIC tape library before a scheduled backup window.
What Can Be Monitored
- proxy agent health-check status and firmware revisions

RFC description
ADIC SAN manager proxy MIB for fiber channel storage network device management and Fibre Channel controller monitoring.
Start monitoring ADIC (Quantum) tape libraries with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
