Description: Style to be used when building a trap PDU to be sent to this entity. A value of proprietary(1) selects the proprietary format used by the Pathlight SAN Director management application. A value of rfc1215(2) selects the format as described in the RFC 1215 TRAP-TYPE objects included in this MIB document. The default is proprietary(1).
What is pnTrapStyle?
This parameter selects the format for SNMP trap messages: proprietary (1) for Pathlight SAN Director format or RFC 1215 (2) for standard SNMP format. Engineers choose this based on whether their monitoring system expects vendor-specific or standards-compliant trap format. A value of 1 sends proprietary format; a value of 2 sends RFC 1215 compliant traps.
