Module: ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB::paLogNCurrent

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.1.400.10.10.2.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge

Access: read-write

Description: SNMP Get (read) returns number of records since boot subject to viewing level filtering. SNMP Set (write) copies this number of records since boot (subject to level filtering) into a buffer from which records are read. This mode of use is deprecated. The preferred way to get the event log since boot is to read paLogBoot, set paEvRptLevel and do a series of SNMP GetNext calls starting at instance paLogBoot until end of event log MIB table is reached.

What is paLogNCurrent?

This OID is a gauge that returns the count of log records since boot when read, or copies a specified number of recent records into a buffer when written. Engineers use this to retrieve recent logs, though the deprecated method is being replaced by GetNext operations starting from paLogBoot. For example, writing 100 to paLogNCurrent loads the most recent 100 entries (since boot, filtered by level) into the buffer for retrieval.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.1.400.10.10.2.1.1.14
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB::paLogNCurrent

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.1.400.10.10.2.1.1.14.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ADIC-SANMGR-PROXY-MIB::paLogNCurrent.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3764.1.1.400.10.10.2.1.1.14.1 i <value>
