Description: Algorithm used when computing Fibre Channel World Wide Node Name for each port. If the value is sameForEachPort(0), then the World Wide Node Name is the same for each port and computed based on the World Wide Node Name of the gateway. If the value is differentForEachPort(1), then the World Wide Node Name is different for each port, computed based on the World Wide Port Name for that port.

What is paSysNodeNameMode?

This integer selects the algorithm for assigning Fibre Channel worldwide node names: 0 means all ports share the same name, 1 means each port has a unique name. Storage engineers configure this to match existing SAN fabric zoning conventions and multi-path setup requirements. Example: Setting to 1 gives each gateway port a distinct worldwide name, essential for advanced multi-path fabric configurations.
