What Is Nortel-Magellan-Passport-PorsVcMIB?

Nortel-Magellan-Passport-PorsVcMIB is a Nortel Networks (Magellan Passport WAN switch) proprietary MIB managing the PORS routing-selection (rtgRs) component's virtual-circuit route selection. Its row-status table controls component creation/deletion, a selected-route table records route cost/delay metric, bumping priority, reason for no route, unmet attributes, and gateway cost metric, a controls table records selection attributes, operation mode, and last-selection time, and a path-attributes table records source ID and remote name. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator diagnose why a particular virtual circuit's route was rejected via the reason-for-no-route object. It is deployed on Nortel Magellan Passport WAN switches. Engineers can download the Nortel-Magellan-Passport-PorsVcMIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

This other path had a higher setupPriority than this path's holdingPriority hence it was allowed to steal the bandwidth (or LC) from this path. This delay is divided by two and truncated to an integer number of milliseconds to provide a one way delay which is used to populate the delay in this trunk object in the topological database. No route is selected if the delay metric of the shortest route is larger than the maximumAcceptableDelay.

Each entry in the vector describes one hop of the route. TRM allocated exit number is used for routes selected by RouteSelector. Trunk name is used for manual routes. The supportedTrafficType attribute of the Trunk PathAdministrator (Trk Pa) component lists all the types of traffic allowed on the trunk. When selecting a route, RouteSelector only chooses trunks whose supportedTrafficType contains the requiredTrafficType.
