Category: Device Management, Hardware and Environment, Vendor: HP/HPE
Description: Manages HP ProLiant Wide-Connect Resource Manager for cluster resource monitoring and failover management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CPQWCRM-MIB?
CPQWCRM-MIB is a legacy Compaq (later HP, enterprise OID 232, built on CPQHOST-MIB) proprietary MIB for the Compaq Wired for Management Console/Rack Manager, reporting environmental-controller status. Its objects cover MIB revision/condition, environmental-controller device status, connected-units count, a reference URL, and internal-device detail — type, free-text description, serial number, status, sensor count, and a sensor table (index, type, text, status, value, high/low/warn thresholds) with a parallel output table. As a hardware-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a rack's environmental sensor readings against configured thresholds. It is deployed on legacy Compaq (HP) rack/console environmental-management hardware. Engineers can download the CPQWCRM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CPQWCRM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Legacy Compaq (HP) rack/console environmental-management hardware
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks internalSensorValue against internalSensorSetWarn to catch a rack environmental sensor approaching its warning threshold on Compaq Wired for Management hardware.
What Can Be Monitored
- environmental sensor readings vs. configured thresholds
