What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OBSERVE-MIB?
This Cisco UCS Managed Information Model package MIB relates to the internal observer subsystem of UCS Manager, which tracks finite-state-machine transitions and task lifecycle events as the management framework observes changes to managed objects. It exposes filter configuration objects that define which managed-object classes and properties are being watched for changes, rather than direct hardware telemetry. Its monitoring role is software/management-plane oriented, as engineers use it to understand what change-detection filters are active and to troubleshoot why certain configuration or state changes were or weren't detected/propagated by UCS Manager. It depends on the umbrella CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-MIB and the internal UCS Data Management Engine event/observer mechanism. It is used only within Cisco UCS Manager/UCS Central deployments for internal diagnostics rather than everyday operational monitoring. Engineers can download the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OBSERVE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

A UCS support engineer debugging a missed configuration change notification would inspect cucsObserveFilterTable / cucsObserveFilterEntry, checking cucsObserveFilterFilterClassId and cucsObserveFilterChildClassId to see which managed-object class relationships are being observed. The cucsObserveFilterFilterPropId1/2/3 and corresponding property value fields would show exactly which properties trigger the filter, helping determine why an expected change wasn't captured. This MIB is an internal diagnostic tool rather than a source of general performance metrics.
