What Is ACC-CM?

ACC-CM is an enterprise MIB for ACC/Ericsson routers managing Connection Management (CM) functions, controlling how dial-up connections are established, torn down, and allocated bandwidth. It exposes objects under accCmGroup covering connection state and bandwidth-allocation parameters for dial sessions. Its monitoring value lies in tracking the operational status of dial connections: confirming whether a connection is up, idle, or torn down, and whether allocated bandwidth matches policy, is a direct check of the device software's call/session-handling health. It works closely with ACC-DIALMGMT, which handles dial policy and admission control, and ACC-ASYNC, which covers the physical async ports, to provide the complete dial-access connection lifecycle. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson dial-access routers providing on-demand or dial-backup WAN connectivity, as defined in the ACC-CM MIB.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-CM. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

An administrator polls objects in accCmGroup to see the current state of an active dial connection and its allocated bandwidth, confirming a bandwidth-on-demand link scaled up correctly under load. If a connection remains in a "connecting" state longer than expected, or its allocated bandwidth stays below the configured threshold, that flags a dial-establishment problem such as a busy remote peer or misconfigured bandwidth policy.
