Description: Manages SS7 (Signaling System 7) protocol stack configuration on AudioCodes gateway platforms, including MTP2/MTP3 link sets, routes, and ISUP variant settings.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AC-SS7-MIB?

AC-SS7-MIB is a vendor MIB from AudioCodes that manages the SS7 (Signaling System 7) protocol stack configuration on AudioCodes gateway platforms, covering MTP2/MTP3 link set configuration, SS7 routes, and ISUP variant settings used for PSTN call signaling interoperability. It exposes configuration objects defining how the gateway's SS7 stack is set up: link sets, routing between signaling points, and which national/international ISUP variant is in use. Its monitoring value lies primarily in configuration correctness and, where link/route status objects exist, in surfacing signaling-link software status such as an SS7 link set being down, which would block call establishment even if the gateway hardware itself is healthy. It depends on the ITU-T/ANSI SS7 protocol standards for its object semantics and is complementary to the AC-PM-SS7-MIB, which provides the performance-counter side of the same subsystem. It is deployed on AudioCodes gateways interconnecting with PSTN switches via SS7 signaling in carrier networks. Engineers can download the AC-SS7-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AC-SS7-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes gateway (SS7 signaling)

Monitoring Examples

No concrete sample objects were supplied for this module, so specific object names cannot be grounded; conceptually an administrator would check SS7 link set and route configuration/status objects to confirm signaling links are up and using the correct ISUP variant, but naming exact objects here would be speculative.
