Category: SNA and Legacy Protocols, Telephony and VoIP, Vendor: Aastra
Description: Manages Aastra ACTE (Automatic Call Transfer Equipment) module configuration and signaling parameters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CXACTE-MIB?
The CXACTE-MIB is a proprietary SNMP module from Aastra (CX/Memotec) covering the Automatic Call Transfer Equipment (ACTE) module used in WAN voice/data gateway hardware. It exposes low-level debug and diagnostic data for the ACTE card, including per-link debug registers and statistics counters for the TVD, DS1, and SVD signaling subsystems. It is primarily used for monitoring hardware status of the ACTE line card, letting engineers read internal register values and event counters that surface signaling errors, link desynchronization, or other trunk-card hardware faults rather than general traffic counters. As a proprietary CX/Aastra extension it has no stated dependency on standard IETF MIBs, though it is meant to be used alongside other CX chassis/interface MIBs for context. It is typically deployed by telecom technicians troubleshooting T1/E1 voice trunk cards inside Aastra WAN access gateways. Engineers can download the CXACTE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CXACTE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Aastra ACTE WAN/voice gateway module
- Aastra CX (Memotec) telecom access equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll acteDebugTable entries (indexed by acteDebugLinkIndex and acteDebugIndex) to read acteDebugRegister values, using acteDebugWrite for register-level diagnostics. Rising acteDebugDs1Stat or acteDebugSvdStat counters, or a burst of acteDebugSvdEvt events, would indicate DS1 framing errors or SVD signaling faults on a specific trunk link. This is a low-level debug/diagnostic MIB rather than a general performance MIB.
What Can Be Monitored
- ACTE debug register values
- DS1 signaling statistics
- TVD statistics
- SVD statistics and events
- per-link debug status
