What Is VIVOE-MIB?
VIVOE-MIB is a UK Ministry of Defence-derived private MIB (defined in Def Stan 00-82 Part 1) for managing devices in a Vetronics Infrastructure for Video Over Ethernet (VIVoE) architecture - i.e. digital video distribution systems used in military vehicles. It is intended to expose configuration and control data for video-over-IP endpoints and the digital video architecture components (cameras, displays, video switches) connected via Ethernet. Given its purpose, it would support monitoring the operational/software status of video endpoints - link/connection state, stream configuration, and endpoint identity - though this source did not surface concrete object names to confirm hardware-sensor detail like temperature. It is defined as a standalone Defence Standard-specific MIB rather than an extension of a common IETF video MIB, so it has limited cross-dependency on other standard MIBs. It is typically deployed in military vehicle electronic architectures (vetronics) where multiple video sources and displays are networked over Ethernet and need centralized management, as defined in the VIVOE-MIB MIB specification.
