The new value shall only become active after a reset or reboot. This object shall also be used to set the SDP Session Name field for SAP announcement messages for the channel, when it may be combined with the deviceUserDesc object in multi-channel devices.

What is channelUserDesc?

A user- or integrator-assigned label uniquely identifying this channel on the device, such as 'front LSA camera'. It's set only in maintenance mode, takes effect after a reset, and also feeds the SDP Session Name in the channel's SAP announcements.
