Category: Remote Access and Serial WAN, Teldat Router Management
Description: Monitors Teldat router DLSw protocol peer connectivity, circuit state, and SNA/NetBIOS frame forwarding counters.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-MON-PROTOCOL-DLSw-MIB?
TELDAT-MON-PROTOCOL-DLSw-MIB is a private MIB from Teldat, a Spanish router manufacturer, for monitoring Data Link Switching (DLSw) protocol behavior on Teldat routers that bridge legacy SNA and NetBIOS traffic over IP networks. It exposes data on DLSw peer connections, circuit state, and frame-forwarding counters between remote sites. For software status monitoring it is used to check peer connectivity, circuit up/down state, and traffic counters that reveal whether legacy mainframe or NetBIOS traffic is being reliably tunneled, effectively acting as a health indicator for the router's DLSw process. It generally parallels the structure of the industry-standard DLSw MIB (RFC 2024) peer/circuit table conventions. It is deployed in enterprise networks that still carry legacy SNA/NetBIOS traffic over modern IP WANs via Teldat routers, and administrators can download the TELDAT-MON-PROTOCOL-DLSw-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-MON-PROTOCOL-DLSw-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router
Monitoring Examples
No sample objects were supplied for this MIB, so exact table/object names cannot be confirmed. Typically an admin would poll DLSw peer and circuit tables to see whether a peer connection has dropped or a circuit has entered a disconnected state, which would explain a loss of legacy SNA terminal connectivity. Without concrete object names, a fully grounded example cannot be constructed here.
What Can Be Monitored
- DLSw peer connection status
- circuit state
- SNA/NetBIOS frame forwarding counters

RFC description
Monitors DLSw (Data Link Switching) protocol status and parameters on Teldat routers.
Start monitoring Teldat router (DLSw peer/circuit status for SNA/NetBIOS-over-IP) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
