Description: General DataComm SC800 T3 MIB for DS3 interface configuration and performance statistics management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is GDC-SC800T3-MIB?
GDC-SC800T3-MIB is a General DataComm proprietary MIB (built on the shared GDCCMN-MIB/GDCMACRO-MIB framework) for the SC800 T3 channel-service unit, reporting firmware version and network/channel configuration. Its version table reports active/standby firmware revision, stored-firmware status, a switch-active-firmware action, downloading mode, and a flash-erase action, while a channel-configuration table records forced-DCE mode, DTE test mode, and DTE loop timeout, and a network-configuration table records frame type, transmit clock source, AIS loopdown behavior, line type, and idle/transmit-idle status. As a hardware/software-status MIB it lets an administrator confirm firmware revision and audit T3 network-side clocking and framing configuration. It is deployed on General DataComm SC800 T3 channel-service equipment. Engineers can download the GDC-SC800T3-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in GDC-SC800T3-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- General DataComm SC800 T3 channel-service equipment
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks sc800t3NetworkTransmitClockSource and sc800t3NetworkFrameType to confirm the T3 network side is clocked and framed correctly before troubleshooting a sync problem on a GDC SC800 unit.
What Can Be Monitored
- firmware revision
- T3 network clocking and framing configuration
