Description: TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB?

TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB is an Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia) SR OS proprietary MIB managing mobile gateway instances (GGSN/PGW-style packet-core gateway functions) on Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia routers. Its gateway table records gateway ID, row status, description, and type, with a restart counter, while a system-group sub-table tracks each group's operational state, application, redundancy role, and switchover count/time/reason and current redundancy state. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a mobile gateway's redundancy state and investigate the cause and timing of a recent switchover. It is deployed on Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia) mobile packet-core gateway routers. Engineers can download the TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia) mobile packet-core gateway routers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks tmnxMobGwSysGroupSwitchoverTime and tmnxMobGwSysGroupRedState after a reported mobile-data outage to determine when a gateway redundancy switchover occurred and whether it completed successfully.

What Can Be Monitored

  • mobile gateway redundancy state and switchover history
