tmnxMobGwAcrFailuresAlarmMajor
Module: TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB
OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwAcrFailuresAlarmMajor
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.70.0.3
Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE
Description: A tmnxMobGwAcrFailuresAlarmMajor notification is generated when 2 ACR transmission failures occur in a 10 second interval or 5 ACR transmission failures occur in a 60 second interval to the peer.
[CAUSE] Charging Data Functions (CDF) peer is slow to respond to RF ACR message requests or it is not responding to RF ACR message requests but from a diameter connection perspective the peer is still in service.
[EFFECT] The gateway will choose a secondary CDF peer to send the RF accounting messages for the failure attempts.
[RECOVERY] Diagnose why the CDF peer is slow to respond or why it is not responding to RF accounting message requests.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwAcrFailuresAlarmMajor snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.70.0.3
Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public
Example snmptrapd log entry:
zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:52583->[192.168.30.10]:162]: DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (309783911) 35 days, 20:30:39.11 SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwAcrFailuresAlarmMajor
