tmnxMobGwSysGrpDiameterPeerState

Module: TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwSysGrpDiameterPeerState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.70.0.28

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: The tmnxMobGwSysGrpDiameterPeerState notification is generated when there has been a change in the state of a reference point peer in the diameter application per mobile system group.

[CAUSE] When there is a change in Diameter Peer State.

[EFFECT] If the value of tmnxMobGwNtfyDiameterPeerState is 'pathDown' for the mobile system group, then the diameter application supported on that connection will not function between the given mobile system group and the given diameter peer.

[RECOVERY] If the value of tmnxMobGwNtfyDiameterPeerState is 'pathDown' for a mobile system group, the operator may have to take an action to investigate and recover the connection between the mobile system group and the diameter peer.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwSysGrpDiameterPeerState
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.3.70.0.28

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:51364->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (314707108) 36 days, 10:11:11.08
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: TIMETRA-MOBILE-GATEWAY-MIB::tmnxMobGwSysGrpDiameterPeerState
