What Is HPN-ICF-VSAN-MIB?

HPN-ICF-VSAN-MIB is an HP (Comware/ICF-based) vendor MIB for configuring and monitoring Virtual SAN (VSAN) fabric isolation on HP Fibre Channel switches, allowing a single physical FC fabric to be logically partitioned into multiple isolated VSANs. It exposes configuration objects for VSAN membership, core switch identity, and domain manager settings, all registered under the HPN-ICF-VSAN-MIB OID branch, that control how Fibre Channel domains are assigned within each VSAN. Monitoring Examples

An admin would query hpnicfVsanTable/hpnicfVsanEntry, keyed by hpnicfVsanIndex, to confirm hpnicfVsanCoreSwitchName and hpnicfVsanRowStatus show the VSAN as active and correctly assigned a core switch. The hpnicfVsanDmTable/hpnicfVsanDmEntry rows expose hpnicfVsanDmDomainConfigureEnable, hpnicfVsanDmFabricNameConfigured, and hpnicfVsanDmPriorityConfigured, letting an operator verify domain manager priority and fabric naming are consistent across switches in the fabric—a mismatch here is a common cause of SAN fabric merge failures. hpnicfVsanDmAllowedDomainIdList would be checked to ensure domain ID ranges don't overlap between VSANs.
